A common problem for many people with hearing loss is being able to hear on the telephone. Most hearing aids have an option to help with the telephone; however, sometimes it still isn’t enough. We now have a new option for those individuals.
The CapTel Captioned Telephone is available for anyone with hearing loss. The CapTel phone works like other phones, except you will also have the option for captioning, just like captioning on your TV! Best part is the device and captioning service is free, you only need Internet service.
A representative will come to your home to set up the phone and review with you how to use the phone. CapTel phones include a large display screen, answering machine, amplified sound (up to 4 times louder than a regular phone), speed dial buttons and caller ID.
To obtain a free phone, call our office at 1-800-277-1182 or 352-795-5377. We will gladly start the process for you and send in your application to the provider. A representative will contact you regarding set up in your home.
